Weight Management · Editorial Funnel
A weight-loss offer in France through a CPA network. A pre-lander styled as a French news portal — with a fictional persona narrating a 6-week journey — outperformed direct-response creative by 2–3× on CTR and stayed compliant through 1,000+ ad reviews.

The Setup
What we were working with.
The Problem
Weight-loss creative on FB has the highest auto-review rate of any nutra vertical. Direct-response copy gets blocked on the first cycle. Editorial framing slips past.
The Audience
Women 35–55 in France — primarily Tier-2 cities and suburbs. Higher disposable income than rural, less skepticism than Paris.
Our Solution
News-portal pre-lander with fictional persona. White-hat cloaking domains (yoga/fitness/nutrition blogs). Storytelling format with before/after embedded in the narrative.
The Mechanics
What drove the numbers.
What We Learned
The takeaways that repeat.
Storytelling beat direct response · consistently
Fictional persona narrating a weight-loss journey delivered 8% CTR against a 5–6% benchmark. Editorial framing is universally undervalued in nutra.
French-native copy outperformed translation by 40%
Initial English-translated copy was tested first and underperformed. A native French-speaking copywriter produced the version that scaled.
Cloaking compliance was sustained
White-hat cloaking on legitimate yoga/fitness blogs passed 1,000+ ad reviews without a single domain ban. Black-hat cloaking would have killed the run inside 72 hours.
Before/after embedded in narrative
Embedding the before/after as part of the persona’s story (not in the hero image) avoided the body-image policy trigger. Same conversion uplift, zero policy risk.
