Up Digital collaborated with Orange Umbrella Agency to create a new brand identity for Madolyn Barnes, the owner of Pastries By Madolyn. Madolyn is a highly-regarded pastry chef who is captivating sweet tooths across the United States. A taste of one of Madolyn's desserts is enough to leave you smitten, and her secret ingredient is love - each treat is made with affection to be shared with those you cherish.

Our goal was to create something special that reflected the charming personality and exceptional skills of this home chef. Starting completely from *scratch*, UpDigital and Orange Umbrella designed a logo, brand guidelines, and business cards with a look that embodies the client's style. We also captured appetizing product photos and constructed an e-commerce website. With our help, Madolyn quickly established her brand and expanded her product distribution reach.

The main idea behind Pastries by Madolyn was to create desserts that are both delicious and unforgettable. We positioned the company as more than just another pastry business - instead, we presented it as family recipe desserts made from high-quality ingredients and perfected over time. The brand's colors were inspired by the bright and genuine Ladurée cookies.

As a pastries company, a memorable packaging experience is essential to Pastries by Madolyn.To achieve this, each pastry is placed in a brightly colored paper bag with the brand logo at the center. On the reverse side of each bag, we included a whole story behind each pastry followed by a signature pink stamp. In addition, we created business cards that reflect the company’s brand identity.
Photography
Product photography brings Pastries by Madolyn a cozy and warm brand identity. The goal for the photographer was to capture the essence of homemade pastries that are loved and cherished.
